Welcome to the Team Apache Wrestling Club. This is the 27TH year of operation and the club continues to grow. The coaching staff places first priority on using wrestling as a vehicle to teach student athletes how to become good citizens, scholar athletes, and how to make good decisions in life. The Apache Wrestling Club coaching staff is comprised of many local area teachers with advanced degrees and a long history of linking success and achievement to athletics and academics. Their goal is to provide the facility and opportunity for wrestlers to enhance wrestling ability throughout the year. Team Apache is NOT to take the place of school teams or feeder (local youth) programs. Team Apache is simply a club to supplement what these programs are already doing. Team Apache trains specifically for Junior & Cadet Nationals, PJW’s, NHSCA events, and MAWA’s. However, wrestlers may want to just get great workouts with wrestlers from Southeastern PA or New Jersey. Team Apache is for wrestlers of all levels and experience, however we do not have a beginners class. Wrestlers from area schools like Abington, Bensalem, Trenton, Council Rock South and Council Rock North, Ewing NJ, Germantown Academy, Hatboro Horsham, Hopewell Valley NJ, Father Judge, PAL, Pennsbury, Northern Burlington NJ, Neshaminy, and Central Bucks are just a sampling of members enrolled in Team Apache. In 2001 Team Apache played host to a team from Russia in a cultural exchange program and the following year helped fund athletes do the same during their travels to China. Off the mat Team Apache has been just as successful in helping to raise approx. $17,500 in the name of various charities during their annual Wrestle for Relief event. In 2005 the club’s target was the American Red Cross and the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and in 2006 the club’s charity was Alex’s Lemonade Stand, followed by Autism Awareness in 2007 and the D’Angelo Foundation in 2008. In 2009 our charity was Beat the Streets Philadelphia. Moreover, our young student athletes have taken their wrestling and academic careers to the following institutions:
